What you need to know about our Junior ISA

  • Our Junior ISA invests in stocks and shares. Investments can go down as well as up in value, so your child could get back less than is put in.
  • You must be 16 years or older to open a Junior ISA and have parental responsibility for the child. This will make you the registered contact for the Junior ISA.
  • The child you're opening the Junior ISA for needs to be a resident in the UK.
  • You can't open this Junior ISA if the child already holds another Stock & Shares Junior ISA or a Child Trust Fund.
  • Tax rules for ISAs can change, and their benefits depend on your and your child's circumstances.
  • The money in a Junior ISA belongs to the child, and they can only access it when they turn 18.
  • Our website offers information but not advice. If you're not sure which investments are right for you, please consult a financial adviser.
